The castles Neerijnen and Waardenburg are one of the few rural estates in the river area of the Netherlands.

The Neerijnen present house was built around 1600, probably on the foundations of the old house.

It has undergone major renovations in the 18th century and is in the second half of the 19th century provided of a new construction.
