Andreaskerk
Although this church seems prewar these have been just designed during the  World War II (B. van der Leck) but is eventually started with construction just in 1947.

With that it is the first church which is built after the war.

Concordiakerk
On the corner of the Annastraat is the Gothic Revival Reformed Church located and is built in 1888.
J.B. Winters was the architect.

After the devastation of the old post office in the Vredehofstraat during the bombardment of Rotterdam on 14 May 1940 the building did service as post office.

In 1981 the building was sold on the Evangelical sibling municipality, the Reformed uses nowadays the building Pro Rege at the Oudedijk.

Opstandingskerk
On a sunny but freezing winter day we visited the tower of the Opstandings church which is situated beside a very beautiful pond on the Lisplein.

On the picture you see that we are dealing with an other type church as the other ones we visited. The tower stands dissociated of the church building.

Pelgrimvaderskerk
On the Aelbrechtskolk in the district Delfshaven, this is one of the few lasted historic part of Rotterdam. Here we find the Oude- of Pelgrimvaders church.

The first stone was placed in the 15th century (1417). The turret was built up there later.

Of course is the height of the tower is not high but this is high enough to register the historic environment by means of pictures and views.

Waalsekerk
When I got the invitation to visit this church I was wondering where the church might be in the centre of Rotterdam.

The building is hided very well behind the back of the higher buildings on the Schiedamsedijk.
