Atlantic Huis
During the Bouwputten festival 2008 which was organised by
CIC Rotterdam people had the oppurtunity to enter the construction area of the Atlantic Huis.

Restoration and redevelopment of the former Atlantic Huis (architect Piet Buskens, 1928).
Modern flats and maisonettes in a  monument.

Blaak 31

The center of Rotterdam is subject of redevelopment within this masterplan KCAP designs a multitenant office building for Provast Development.

The program for this office comprises of 25.000 m² of office space with public functions on the ground level and a submerged parking garage. The paths of the metrotubesand the large mass of the adjacent Markett Hall determine the design of the building.

A compact mass, a high isolation value and a cold/heat storage provide a well balanced energy consumption.

Rotterdam Centraal
During the Bouwputten festival 2008 which was organised by
CIC Rotterdam people had the oppurtunity to enter the construction area of Rotterdam Centraal.

Rotterdam Centraal, the new name of the main railway station, is part of the international high speed trains (HSL) network and the light rail system RandstadRail.

 

The estimated number of travellers who will pass this station will be about 325.000 in 2025.

 

Near this railway station will be developed a business area named Central District.

Central District
A central business district in the heart of Rotterdam.

The location’s international head offices will be accompanied by business services and creative companies.

A total of approx. 15,000 direct and indirect jobs will be created in the coming years.

Central Post
During the Bouwputten festival 2008 which was organised by
CIC Rotterdam people had the oppurtunity to enter the construction area of Central Post building.

The original Central Post was built between 1954-1958.
 

The building was formerly used by the PTT as an EKP (ExpeditieKnoopPunt) to sort the mail for further distribution.

The building will be completely redeveloped, renovated and restored to an office building with on the ground floor nightlife activities.

Maastoren
The completion of the Maastoren skyscraper will further strengthen Rotterdam's reputation as the high-rise and architectural capital of the Netherlands.

Located in the Kop van Zuid district, the Maastoren will rise to 165 meters and become the Netherlands’ tallest office building (2009).

The Maastoren will claim a landmark position on the Rotterdam skyline from 2009.

New Orleans
A sunny and bright appearance, in New Orleans. With a facade that is fully equipped with a light, sand-colored stone, its beautiful sun deck, complete her glass "feet" and with 158 meters length, it is the tallest residential tower in the Netherlands. With its 45 floors with apartments and penthouses in its crown is the beautiful New Orleans an eye catcher.

Designed by one of the world’s most celebrated architects Office for Metropolitan Architecture (O.M.A.) of Rem Koolhaas.


The remarkable mix of functions make this building a true vertical city that is active 24 hours a day: a four-star hotel, apartments, offices, health club, shops, bars and restaurants and an attractive cultural and commercial program.

Wijnheave
During the Bouwputten festival 2008 which was organised by
CIC Rotterdam people had the oppurtunity to enter the construction area of the Wijnheave building.

 

The "old harbour" is one of the main caracteristic area of Rotterdam with his old ships and cosy restaurants.

 

To complete this area the architects of KOW Architecten designed a apartment building with a height of 73m (86m with crown).
