Country side
In "Benisants de la Pedra" is a mountain surrounded by rice fields in the Sueca prefecture.

Sueca is a village with 20.000 inhabitants. It's name means "market" and it comes from the arab word "zoco".

On the "Rock"

Info

Something curious is that all the landscape was former part of a lake called Albufera.
The farmers brought soil to dry up the lake to cultivate rice. The "Benisants de la Pedra" would translate something like "saints of the rock" (the rock is supposed to be the mountain). They are supposed to take care of the rice harvest.

Many people are going there to celebrate Eastern. They going to eat what we call in catalan "berenar" and play. Another curiosity is that all the landscape is very flat except for that "rock". So from that rock you can see all the landscape.

The sea is very close, about 3 km. The south and west is all surrounded by low mountains and in the north by the lake.
