Woudrichem

City
This small town near the river Waal is a typical "vesting" city (fortress town).

It means that there is a big earth wall with water around the old centre for militairy protection  and water.
(Holland Water Defence).

Because of the location of Woudrichem it is vulnerable for high water.

Other fortress towns are Naarden and Brielle.
